Beau is Here!!

I'm too tired to write a lot but Beau arrived on Friday 5/22 at 12:15 am. He was 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. I went in on Thursday morning at 6 to be induced but ended up with a c-section after a full day of only being dilated 2-3 cm. I'm glad I went in a week early because the cord was wrapped around his neck twice tightly. It all worked out in the end and I'm just happy that he is healthy. He's been a wonderful baby so far. He doesn't cry a lot and seems to be very content. He's got blonde hair and blue eyes - even though we haven't seen much of them yet. He sleeps A LOT - I am enjoying it now though because I know that won't last long!! He had his first dr. appt. today and everything was great. I am still pretty sore but every day is getting easier. The pain pills have really helped too:)

I feel bad because I haven't taken quite as many pictures of Beau as I did when Olivia was born. I think because it's been harder for me to get around but I'm trying to make up for it now that I'm home. Attached are a few from his first days. I'll try to add more later this week - and maybe say a little more too.

One More Week!

I went to the doctor today and I am scheduled to be induced next Thursday morning. I'm getting scared now! My due date is May 28th (I thought it was may 26th) and my doctor said it was safe to induce up to a week before and next Thursday was what's available on the hospital schedule. The baby is really kicking the crap out of my bladder today - it's really uncomfortable.

We took Olivia to the mall last weekend and she finally did a Build-A-Bear. We've taken her there a few times and she never seemed to want to build one but she did this time. It was of course pink - her favorite color. She named it Olivia too. We let her play in the kid's area too for a little while.

We were playing on her playground the other day and she asked me to swing with her. After a few minutes she told me to get off because my butt was too big. Her brutal honesty kills me sometimes.

We took her a couple of weeks to have her hair cut too. She does really well which surprises me every time.
