Halloween at the Campground

We had a great time last weekend at the campground for Halloween. A lot of campers went all out to decorate which I just realized I didn't really get any pictures of for some reason. Olivia ended up wanting to wear her Snow White dress instead of the mermaid one that i had bought her. She was a little scared of the people dressed like witches and one guy that was dressed like a werewolf. The weather ended up nice on Saturday. It was around 70 degrees. Olivia spent probably a total of 3 hours off and on at the jumping pillow. They also did a lot of nice things for the kids. They had a haunted house, a haunted hay ride, pumpkin carving and the trick or treating. We really like it there and that will probably be the place we go to the most since it's only 45 minutes from our house.

The kids daycare also had a party on Friday but Beau wasn't allowed to go in Friday because when I picked him up Thursday he decided to puke EVERYWHERE right in front of the main office. He wasn't sick. I think he just had an upset stomach. They told me that I had to keep him home even though he didn't have a fever. I understand because they are trying to be really careful about the flu. A girl in Olivia's room was sent home this week with the flu. It was nice to spend the day alone with him since I don't get to anymore now that I'm back at work. He was fine.

How cute. Looks like Olivia was enjoying herself. Beau is starting to change in looks. I can definitely see you in him now.

Beau is so so so cute in that outfit!!! I just would love to hug him... wish I could....

Anyway, how nice that you guys could have so much fun with Halloween. Well, it's ok, we in Holland will have the upcoming festival called Sinterklaas, whereby the Sinterklaas (like Santa Claus) and his helper (Zwarte Piet) who dressed up like a black man, come to Holland from Spain to give kids presents if they have been good. They are coming over by boat from Spain pretty soon. It's fun, coz the kids will also dress up too. The actual day for Sinterklaas is on 5 December, I believe, which means I think I will try to take that day off.

By the way, not to upset you, but I've come across a book that I want to share with you. You can buy it in the US, as it's written by a US family. http://www.notesleftbehind.com/book/ Check out this site...very sad, but I think that's something we can do to help kids who need help. Every dollar can make a difference I believe!
